CBG pre-rolls are a relaxing, convenient way to enjoy the benefits of this up and coming hemp flower. CBG stands for cannabigerol, one of the many cannabinoids found in cannabis Sativa plants. It’s similar to its well-known cousin CBD (cannabidiol), and early studies show that CBG is just as efficient and effective!
If you’re wondering if this non-psychoactive (won’t get you “high”) product is right for you, take a look below to find out!
What Are CBG Pre-Rolls
CBG pre-rolls are created by taking CBG flower, grinding it, and meticulously placing the shredded flower into rolling papers. Our CBG pre-rolls come in a five-pack of organic, rolled up CBG hemp flower grown in Oregon.
Cannabigerol, or CBG, is proving to positively interact with the endocannabinoid system (ECS) – a body-wide network of receptors that play a crucial role in maintaining homeostasis. This means that the ECS is responsible for regulating such bodily functions as temperature, appetite, immune response, etc.
When you inhale a CBG pre-roll or any related products, you invite all the beneficial cannabigerol properties to interact with your ECS. Plus, there’s the bonus of a relaxing smoke session that will not get you high. That’s right – CBG is non-psychoactive, which makes it a great option for those who are trying to avoid feelings of intoxication.
Benefits of CBG Pre Rolls
If you prefer to inhale rather than consume, pre-rolled flower is one of the best options. Not only do you avoid the sticky fingers that accompany rolling your own, but you also have them ready to go whenever you want CBG’s benefits. Our strain of CBG hemp flower contains high levels of terpenes, which give the product its rich aroma and slightly sour, hazy flavor.
CBG is well-tolerated and in popular demand. Studies are beginning to show that CBG may be beneficial for the following things:
- Appetite stimulation
- Worried/nervous thinking
- Upset stomach, and many more!
CBG Over Cigarettes
A pre-roll can also offer an alternative to a cigarette. Some people who are trying to quit smoking miss the action/habit of puffing on something.
While our products do not contain any nicotine, they can be a substitute for that puffing action. Plus, the beneficial effects of CBG may help you feel more relaxed during the quitting process. Not to mention our strain of hemp flower has a much more delightful aroma than tobacco!
Pre-Rolls Over Pipes
The benefit of a pre-roll versus a pipe is that you only need to light it once. When you use a pipe for any kind of flower (CBG, CBD, THC, or even tobacco), you are continuously re-lighting it and breathing in the lighter’s fumes each time you do.
To avoid that problem, as well as fighting with the wind every couple of minutes, you can buy a pre-roll that only needs to be lit once. However, you can extinguish and re-light your CBG pre-roll at a later time if you don’t feel like smoking the entire thing at once.
If you are a first-time CBG or CBD consumer, we recommend that you pay close attention to how you feel as you inhale the flower. You will most likely not need to smoke it all to feel the effects. Once you begin to notice them, don’t force yourself to finish the whole thing if you don’t want to.
Timing of Pre-Roll Benefits/Effects
Unlike a CBG capsule or CBG tincture, you will feel the effects of a CBG pre-roll almost immediately. Additionally, CBG pre-rolls have a high bioavailability – meaning that more of the CBG reaches your bloodstream.
The effects of inhaling CBG don’t last anywhere near as long as some other methods of consumption. You can expect to feel the effects of smoking a CBG pre-roll for at least two to three hours.
CBG and Other Cannabinoids
CBG can also be used to enhance or replace your CBD experience. When you combine CBD and CBG, you initiate something called the “entourage effect.”
When two or more cannabinoids come together with other compounds found in hemp (terpenes and flavonoids), they produce a richer experience (A.K.A. the entourage effect). If CBD makes you tired, try combining or replacing it with naturally-energizing CBG to see if it makes a difference.
Interesting real-world research done by the Chief Science Officer at LucidMood, Tristan Watkins, Ph.D., showed that when they added cannabigerol to their CBD/THC vape pens, the effects were noticeably energizing.
During an interview with the Journal of Cannabinoid Medicine, Watkins commented that his team added CBG because they believed it would have an effect on the uptake of anandamide. Anandamide is a molecule that plays a role in pain, depression, appetite, and more. Reducing the uptake of anandamide could potentially “help reduce THC withdrawal and lethargy, making for a more social experience,” Watkins said.
Are CBG Pre-Rolls Legal?
Yes! The 2018 Farm Bill made it legal to grow and sell hemp flower and its extracts nationwide. All hemp products must contain 0.3% or less THC to pass as legal. Our CBG flower and pre-rolls do not contain any THC. Wherever you live in the United States, we can ship this product legally.
Hemp and its extracts, including CBG, have not yet been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). This means that cannabigerol has not been approved to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Early studies are yielding positive results that show CBG may have valuable properties, but nothing has been confirmed yet.
CBG is found in young hemp plants and is often thought of as the “mother” cannabinoid because it changes into CBD and THC as the plants mature. So when you harvest the hemp buds at a young age for their cannabigerol, they have barely begun producing those other cannabinoids.
CBG’s naturally-low or nonexistent THC levels make it a great option for people who prefer to avoid intoxicating cannabinoids altogether. Some consumers need to watch what they ingest for work and drug testing purposes. Our 0.0% THC, 21.8% CBG pre-rolls are the perfect option in those cases.
What to Look for When Shopping for CBG Pre Rolls
Before you buy a CBG pre-roll, make sure you look into exactly what you’re paying for. Not all companies use high-grade hemp flower, and some may use additives that you don’t want to inhale.
Here are some of the most important things to consider during your search:
- Look for a company’s certificate of analysis (COA). Any reputable company should have this report freely available so that you can read about which cannabinoids and pesticides may be in your product. If they don’t have a COA, move on to another brand (like ours!).
- Research where the CBG hemp flower is sourced. You want to be sure that you’re supporting a company that uses American-grown hemp, which lives up to standards established by the FDA. Plus, the organization should ethically source its products and ideally perform third-party testing, as well.
- Last but not least, how does the company treat its customers? Do they offer a money-back guarantee or free shipping? Do they have quality customer service and reviews?
So much is still unknown about cannabigerol (CBG), but experts are making great strides in their research on this “minor cannabinoid.”
