Overview

Our 99%+ Pure CBG Isolate is made from Colorado Grown Hemp. Simply put, this is the purest CBG isolate available online. Here at Cheef we carefully craft our Isolate using non-synthetic, natural supercritical CO2 extraction methods. All of our products are non-GMO, pesticide-free, cruelty-free, vegan-friendly, lab tested, and approved. At Cheef Botanicals, we use independent 3rd party lab testing to verify the quality of our products including our concentrates.

Our CBG Isolate appears as a white crystalline, making it very easy to take sublingually, sprinkle on food, mix into your drinks, or simply dab our isolate directly. Each container holds exactly 1gram (1000mg) of CBG Isolate. This product is pure CBG and contains no THC or any other cannabinoids.

What is CBG?

CBG and CBGA stand for cannabigerol and cannabigerolic acid, respectively. CBG is another cannabinoid in the cannabis plant. CBGA is just CBG that still possesses its carboxyl acidy group. It can be found in raw cannabis plants. CBG isolate is the purest form of cannabigerol available to consumers.

THC and CBD are the more popular and well-known types of cannabinoids, but CBG is starting to gain commercial traction as well. It was discovered in 1964 by Dr. Raphael Mechoulam and his team of researchers at Hebrew University in Israel. Although CBG and CBD are both cannabinoids, they are very different. On the molecular level, CBD and CBG have completely different chemical compositions.

How is CBG Different From CBD?

Cannabinoid Amounts in Cannabis

In the past, cannabis plants had negligible amounts of cannabigerol when it came time for harvest. As technology has improved over the years though, it has given growers the power to cultivate cannabis plants with high cannabigerol content.

Binding Affinity

In comparison, CBG has a much stronger binding affinity to cannabinoid receptors than CBD does. CBD is said to act indirectly with the Endocannabinoid System (ECS) and its cannabinoid receptors. CBG however binds directly to cannabinoid receptors which may result in stronger effects than CBD.

Effects

CBG and CBD have many of the same effects. Both are known to give consumers a sense of euphoric calm and soothing relaxation. However, cannabigerol has been identified through anecdotal evidence as having more of a stimulating feeling, making it favorable for those who are looking for a morning-time boost. Unlike their psychoactive cousin THC, neither CBD nor CBG can get you high.

What is CBG Isolate? How is it Made?

CBG isolate is the purest form of cannabigerol that consumers can purchase. The name “isolate” explains it all: The CBG has been isolated from all other cannabinoids and compounds in the cannabis plant. After all of these other compounds are stripped from the cannabis plant, the concluded product is a fine white powder. CBG isolates are 91% – 99% CBG.

To create CBG isolate, the cannabigerol is extracted from the cannabis plant. Although there are several methods of extraction, the industry standard is CO2 extraction. In this process, CO2 is cooled to approximately -70F, and the pressure inside a closed-loop system is turned up to 75psi. This causes the CO2 to become “supercritical,” which means it appears to be somewhere between a gas and liquid.

This supercritical CO2 is then pushed through the cannabis and acts much like a solvent, extracting all the cannabinoids and terpenes from the plant. Other extraction methods rely on solvents such as butane or alcohol to remove the compounds from the cannabis.

How Do You Use CBG Isolate?

There are several ways to use CBG isolate and one of the easiest most effective ways is to take it sublingually. Since CBG isolate is the purest form of the cannabinoid, you can make your own products with it.

Sublingual Method

This is probably the most simple and effective way to take CBG. All you need to do is measure out your personal dosage size and then put it under your tongue for 90 seconds. The CBG will quickly absorb into your sublingual gland which is located under your tongue. From there it goes directly to the bloodstream and effects usually start within 15 – 30 minutes.

Cooking & Eating

You can sprinkle CBG isolate into your spices while preparing a meal. It is easy to dissolve the powder in cooking oil or to dilute it in other spices.

Vape Juice

Although many consumers go out and buy their own CBD vapes, it is possible to make your own at home. You can use CBG isolate to help create the perfect cannabinoid vape juice, more commonly known as e-juice.

Tinctures

Many consumers will mix their CBG isolate with essential oils and carrier oils to create their own tinctures. Depending on what essential oils you use, the mix can be utilized sublingually, dropped into a recipe, or applied topically.

Inhalation

If you want to skip all the activities and construction projects, it is just as easy to smoke CBG isolate. You will need a dab rig to properly complete the inhalation process.

How to Measure CBG Isolate

It is vital that you understand how to measure your CBG Isolate. That is because isolates are very potent products. For the connoisseur who is familiar with isolates, you may be able to eye out your dosage based on personal experience. However, the best way to measure your dosage is by using a scale.

To measure out the exact servings of CBD Isolate, a quality digital scale is mandatory. Consumers should only use a scale that measures weights to the hundredths or even thousandths of a gram (0.01g to 0.001g). Many quality digital scales of this kind are under $20. Make sure to follow the calibration directions on the scale before use.

CBG Isolates have 1000mg of CBG in 1 gram of pure Isolate. A normal dosage would be .25 of your body weight, while a strong dose would be .5 of your body weight. For example, the average dose for a person weighing 140lbs is 35mg (or .25 of their weight). While a strong dose for that same person would be 70mg.

CBG Isolate – Benefits & Effects

CBG isolate is a cannabinoid that interacts with your ECS. The ECS regulates a long list of important bodily functions such as digestion, sleep, mood, stress, inflammation, and more. CBG may promote the overall functionality of the ECS, which may feel different to various consumers. By making sure these processes are functioning optimally, the ECS keeps you in perfect balance. Cannabinoids like CBG, CBD, and THC interact with your ECS to promote overall mood, wellness, and much more.

Overall, CBG isolate is known to be a catalyst for feelings of delighted relaxation and jubilant calm. CBG isolate is the purest form of the product, so it will provide you with all the benefits of CBG. The benefits of CBG include energetic effects, ease of ocular pressure, and the induction of calming or soothing emotions.

The amount of time it takes to feel these effects varies depending on the method of use. Inhalation offers the quickest feeling of effect because the smoke passes through your lungs and is directly deposited into the bloodstream. When you ingest CBG, it takes longer to feel the effects because it must be processed through the digestive system before reaching the blood.

However, the rule of thumb for cannabigerol is that the longer it takes to feel the effects, the longer they will last. Inhalation of CBG may give consumers 1-4 hours of effects while the ingestion of CBG may give consumers 3-6 hours of effects.

Will Using CBG Isolate Show Up on a Drug Test?

No, there are no drug tests designed to identify cannabigerol. What you are thinking of is a drug test that seeks to identify THC. Because CBG isolate does not have any THC mixed in, it should not cause you to fail a drug test. However, consumers must be cautious. There are companies that exercise irresponsible and non-reputable practices. Check the certificate of analysis (COA) of every cannabis product you purchase. This will outline which compounds are in the product.

With that being said, some CBG products may have trace amounts of THC. This can be said for full-spectrum CBG oil, which contains all of the cannabinoids and compounds in the cannabis plant to give consumers the best benefits. Although this trace amount of THC is not enough to get you high (0.3% or less is the legal limit), it can still lead to a failed drug test.

Capsules not the same as gummies!

CBG gummies helped me fall asleep at night. The capsules don’t seem to help at all but I can’t seem to get the CBG gummies any longer.
